Founded in 2017 in Ngaoundéré, Septentrion Sports Organization was born from a simple conviction: talent is everywhere, opportunity is not. In Northern Cameroon, hundreds of young people dream of basketball without a structure to support them. SSO was created to fill that gap and offer a clear path — from the first dribble to national selections. Today it is a non-profit, apolitical organization bringing together more than 190 member players.
To discover, train and guide talent toward sporting and human excellence, while making basketball a tool for education, discipline and empowerment for youth.
To make Septentrion a benchmark of African basketball: an ecosystem where every young person can progress, shine and inspire future generations.
More than 500 youth trained, 12 member teams, 15 tournaments organized and a charity initiative, SSO CARE, that puts sport at the service of the most vulnerable.
